Alderburn is located on the Staffin Road only 5 minutes walk from the centre of Portree as you head toward Totternish, The Old Man of Storr (10mins drive) and the Quirang (30min drive). (Map) The apartment over looks Loch Portree towards the Isle of Rasaay and the Scottish mainland and from this vantage point you may see the occasional sea eagle, golden eagle, otter or seal.
	Portree is a small town yet is known as the 'capital' of Skye. It has a wide selection of restaurants and food outlets as well as a good selection of shops. There are numerous art and craft related shops selling locally made products, as well as exhibitions and gallery's most of the year. A swimming pool and leisure centre is available only 10 min's walk from the apartment.
